The people behind With Each Other CIC
Two directors with decades of experience between them in community engagement, volunteering and youth social action.
Founder & Director
Elma Glasgow
Elma founded With Each Other CIC to help organisations move away from traditional, exclusionary practices towards equitable and inclusive community engagement. A national award-winning consultant, coach and facilitator, she is also the company's Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Her background is in PR/communications across sectors including entertainment, corporate, creative and culture. After being invited to be part of the groundbreaking Power of Stories exhibition in Ipswich in 2021, which featured three original Oscar-winning costumes from Marvel Studios' Black Panther 1, she co-developed and led Aspire Black Suffolk, the exhibition's community engagement initiative. Elma later founded it as a Community Interest Company. She has since worked with universities, local councils, and cultural and heritage organisations on community and public engagement, research, co-development and inclusive strategy — including the community strand of the University of Cambridge's first civic listening exercise.
Elma produces Black cultural heritage projects including Black USAF: www.blackusaf.org.
She's an independent member of Civic East (a regional network of university engagement specialists); a trustee of HighTide theatre company, a member of the Norfolk and Suffolk Culture Board, and sits on FurtherField's advisory board and the Pride in Place West Felixstowe board.
